MINDFULNESS GUIDELINES

As a mindful community space we ask that during your stay at 13 Acres Retreat, the following guidelines are observed in order to authentically connect with nature, oneself and the other guests:

  • Noble Silence 10 PM to 7 AM (quiet conversations to allow others to enjoy the surroundings)

  • Keep our land natural and trash-free (this means no smoking or littering).

  • Leave the space as you found it including outdoor furniture and cabins.

  • Guests come from around the world to visit this space. Let's all welcome each other by showing courtesy in shared spaces and kindness along the paths.

  • Remove muddy shoes before entering the cabins.

*We reserve the right to escort guests from the property who are not observing mindful silence, under the influence or unable to follow guidelines at any time without refund.

FAQ

What is the story behind 13 Acres Retreat?

|| 13 Acres Retreat was created by Tara. She curated every detail of this special place to bring peace & inspiration to every soul who visits. Over the years, the tribe of people who lovingly care for 13 Acres Retreat has grown:

Tara is the Owner and Love Leader

Jenn is our Property Manager and Organizer of all Things

Emily is our Guest Relations Manager and Magical Multi-Tasker

Every person who comes through 13 Acres Retreat becomes part of our Tribe. Our identities are not singular and we are not our jobs. We are multi-faceted souls with a unique essence, myriad talents, idiosyncrasies, and gifts. What will you discover about yourself here?

Are children and pets allowed at 13 Acres?
|| Yes, we welcome leashed and friendly pets. The fee is $15/stay for up to 2 pets and must be paid prior to your arrival. More than 2 pets? No problem; just pay a 2nd pet fee!
|| We also welcome families with children. We are passionate about raising up mindful youth so we do ask that you discuss with them the noble silence, guidelines listed above so they have an opportunity to learn and participate in those and know the reasoning behind them.

What time may I occupy my space?
|| Our check-in time is anytime 3 PM or later. Our check-out time is 11 AM.  There are options to check in early or to check out late for an additional fee. Get in touch with your host to check availability!
|| You may be on-site to explore before/after check-in but your space may not be prepared until these times or will need to be turned over to the next guest upon check-out.

What should I bring?
|| Basic camping staples. Food (cooler), filtered water, bug spray, sunscreen, hiking shoes, etc. If you wish to start a campfire to cook while here, please check burn ban, be responsible with your fires, bring firewood, lighters, charcoal, pots/pans/utensils, etc,

|| Cabins are usually able to be cooled/heated up to 20 degrees from outside temperatures but the rustic nature of the cabins means that if you need more warmth or coolness you may want to pack a fan or heating blanket depending on weather.  Do not leave heating devices unattended in cabins.

What is provided?
|| A lovely cabin with fresh linens, AC/heater, & electricity. Plus grills, hammocks, fire pit, water, mugs, cups, coffee makers, coffee/cream/sugar, towels, washcloths, pillows, fans.

What is the cancellation policy?

A deposit of 25% of the total rental is due upon booking, with full payment due 30 days prior to check-in. All reservations which are made more than 10 days in advance of check-in are fully refundable if the guest cancels the reservation within 72 hours after the time of booking. After this cancellation period expires, if the cancellation is made within 30 days of reservation start date, 50% is refundable. Cancellations made within 3 days of the check-in date are non-refundable.

Is there pool access all year?

|| Yes. Just a short hike over to D6 Retreat will give you access to our beautiful pool area. Please note that the pool is not heated from Dec 20-March 1 due to temperature limits on the heat pump. Cold plunges welcome if done responsibly and safely! We 100% support the benefits of the cold for healing and wellness!
